After playing golf for over 10 years, I recently decided to get more serious about improving my game. I'm currently an 11.5 handicap, and like many others have told me, it was time to finally get fit for clubs. I had been using Mizuno irons from around 2014 — solid clubs — but after hitting some of my friends' newer sets, I could tell I was leaving distance and forgiveness on the table. I researched a number of fitters in the area. While the big-name brands came up first, their reviews made me feel like I’d just be another transaction — pushed toward certain clubs without the one-on-one attention I wanted. That’s why I went with Brad, and I’m so glad I did. Brad took the time to ask detailed questions about my game. He tested every club in my bag — checking shaft stiffness, lofts, and overall condition — to establish a solid baseline before we even started testing new options. I originally went in thinking I’d walk out with a set of Srixon ZX7s, but Brad wasn’t locked in on any brand. He had me try multiple combinations of heads and shafts, constantly adjusting and dialing in what felt and performed best for me. We spent nearly four hours going back and forth until we landed on the perfect fit. I ended up with the Mizuno JPX 925 Pro irons paired with Accra 90g shafts, and I’m blown away by the results. The forgiveness is incredible — a mishit 7-iron that used to go 120 yards now carries 145. It’s like my misses aren’t really misses anymore. I played my first round with them last night at a pretty tough course, and I was sticking shots from 100 yards out with my gap wedge like never before. What used to require a full 52° swing now feels effortless. My 5-iron is flying 200 yards (previously 175), and every club just feels right in my hands. The confidence they give me is a game-changer. Brad also told me his door is always open if I ever feel adjustments are needed — he understands that real-life turf interaction can be very different from hitting on a simulator. For me, real-world performance has actually been even better. If you're serious about your game and want a truly personal fitting experience, I highly recommend Brad. Completed the club builders course over the weekend and must say it was an extremely fulfilling experience. The depth of knowledge shared by Mr Brad far exceeds the cost of the course. If you are considering a career as a club builder , this is the course to take as you will learn far more than simply gluing heads to shafts as is common practice across the industry. Brad's knowledge of what matters in club building separates him from the majority of other builders. He knows the cause and effect of grip size and shaft flex has on the golf swing. If being a club builder is not for you , set up a fitting appointment to dramatically improve your clubs performance thereby lowering your overall score... it'll be the best thing you've done to improve your game Thank you Brad ! Superb experience... Brad really knows his stuff. I had about a 4 year hiatus from playing golf and grabbed a set of quality used clubs. Couldn't hit them worth a crap. Figured something was off and suspected the shafts of having swing weight issues. Brad figured out I was basically using a shaft completely wrong for my speed and temp. Swapped my shafts out and everything was right as rain. Ended up having him build several other clubs to include a driver and fairway woods, I am now hitting straighter and with more confidence and longer carry averages then ever before.
