Welcome to the Eagles Nest! After a busy morning working, I had an urge to practice my swing in prep for an upcoming Thanksgiving trip I have with my friends to go golfing in Palm Springs. Not being my local course, I decided that a practice run would be a great idea, ahead of the weekend getaway. In comes Eagles Nest Golf. Located in a nice part of old gresham downtown, the Eagles Nest is a neat spot for itching the scratch to get out golfing, Rain or Shine! It happened to be a nice wet day outside, we all know the fun of golfing on wet greens and fairways, so having a warm indoor spot to play and with great service was a pleasure. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by Jeremy, the owner of the Shop who proceeded to explain the process and give me a quick swing. The coolest part of this experience was the fact that I could pick any course to play on. (sorry friends, I swear I didn’t get a leg up by playing the upcoming holes ahead of time). We usually make a wager on our game and I wanted this year to be my chance to shine and put the pressure on my friends. We all live in different states, so getting into the same place to play and catch up, always involves traveling to a different destination each time. (This also helps us seek out decent weather when in winter time) On to the golfing experience. There is a nice selection of clubs to choose from if you haven’t brought your own, but if you have your own clubs, bring ‘em along and swing away. The system works great! Not only can I track my swing and the flight path of the ball, it has some excellent features to help guide you as you get to the greens with grid lines and slope indicators. Very useful for getting to know the course you are playing on. If you are here with a group, there is comfortable seating to relax on and watch, as well as a waiting area if you arrive and are in line for T-Time. Currently they are running a fun Thanksgiving competition which includes running a course with you cost to play, as well as the chance to win Big! If you want to improve your club selection, they sell a nice variety of clubs for you to buy if you need something new to add to your skill set. Jeremy was very helpful with watching my swing and giving me some great tips for improving my form, and he offers private training sessions alongside the fun golf experience. Now I can finally play those $5-600 courses I have on my bucket list for a fraction of the price, not to mention I don’t have to fly across the country just to get there. The bathroom is clean, there are snacks and concessions for purchase and the grass in the golfing area is clean and tight. The VR machine also works well for both lefty and right swing. Now, instead of hitting away at the driving range, I can swing to my hearts content on a real golf course! This is awesome! A great experience for both novice and avid golfers, I highly recommend a visit to The Eagles Nest virtual golf experience. This is a great spot for a fun date with a new or current partner, or a fun spot to hit balls with your friends at one of your bucket list golf courses. Year round!!! If you have a free hour or so, and want to practice or improve your golf game, I definitely recommend the Eagles Nest Golf Experience. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and happy swinging!
