Classic Swing Golf School

Im new to golf and at 70 thought I really needed to get the fundamentals to improve. You tube can't really teach that! I had excellent instruction from CJ and James. They really enjoyed their role as instructors. They love golf and it made the experience I was looking for. Met the owner, Ted on the practice range and he remembered my name the next day. Looked at my clubs, lengthened them and new grips, plus reshafted my driver. Reasonable cost and excellent service. If you are needing a good understand of the game as a new player, or need a tune-up and fresh eyes on your swing, you can't go wrong here. The only thing I would change is to also take the package where you play a couple rounds of golf at Legends. Thank you CJ, James, and Ted for a great experience. I can’t recommend Classic Swing Golf school strongly enough! Brian's communication was wonderful – he answered any and all questions I had quickly and professionally and was a pleasure to work with. As part of our girls weekend, I scheduled a 3 hour lesson for myself and two friends – all with various levels of golf experience. I’ve golfed many years, one friend has several years of experience and the third had never golfed before. Ted was able to help each of us – addressing each of our needs without coming across as too basic for the golfers with experience yet still providing the brand new golfer with the instruction she needed. The 3 hour lesson flew by in a good way - we laughed and learned – but it didn’t feel rushed - we felt like Ted spent a good amount of time with each of us and we each gained something from the experience. Ted’s ability to explain the “feel” and “concept” of the golf swing was like nothing any of us had experienced before - everything he said made sense. The facilities were impressive and the clubhouse was beautiful (we ate lunch there before our lesson). Don’t hesitate to book with them today!

I recently participated in a 3-day school at the Classic Swing School of Golf. I am an experienced golfer and was looking for improvement in a few areas of my game. There are many positives about the school. The training facility was top notch (made me wish I had access to something similar back home). The instructors were very knowledgeable and personable. The amenities (lodging and food) were great as well. I would highly recommend the 3-day school to a beginning or high handicap golfer. There are, however, some considerations that should be weighed before booking a class. The marketing material states, "Always a maximum of 4:1 Student to Teacher Ratio." While there were two instructors for our 7 student class, there were not always two instructors present while we were on the range getting instructions. I felt this was a significant negative and diminished the time that I had an instructor available to provide me feedback. I also noticed that the instructors did not consistently give equitable on-range teaching time to each student. I imagine this is difficult to accomplish but is very important to the students who pay with that expectation. More accomplished golfers would probably do better with training packages that are more individually focused.
