Editing here to add that it's really lame that they run political DHS propaganda ads on the golf cart screens. Leave that trash out of golf please. If you enjoy golf courses that work with the natural landscape of the area instead of against it, this is the place for you. Tons of natural beauty here and what kept me from giving fewer stars. Keep your eyes peeled on the cart paths though, chipmunks love to cross and I even saw one that had been run over by someone. There was also a snake on the path. Played on Saturday and the pace of play was awful. We were a twosome and our tee time was 945am. The foursome in front of us had a late player and they ended up taking our slot and didn't tee off until 948. Ranger didn't let us start ahead of them. More groups of 4 slowed everyone down. Then the ranger had the gall to tell us we had no excuse to be 30 minutes behind as a twosome... 5 hour round sucked. Nature of the course made it worth it.
I golfed this course for the first time and it deserves the 4 star review. The greens and fairways were very well kept. The course layout is incredibly fun, challenging and unique. Big mature oak trees line so much of this course which also adds a special beauty to your round. I thoroughly enjoyed the hand full of blind look tee shots, which also had these big trees come in play. This is also a par 73 which makes it even more unique compared to the majority of courses you will find. These days most people use their phones as range finders. However, it was nice having the range finder built into the golf cart. The pace of play was good and the ranger was pushing people along. Our foursome finished just under 4.5 hrs. We could have made it closer to 4 hours had we not taken as long of a break at the turn. The only knock(s) I have on this course is that they need better drainage in a few bunkers (specifically the front 9) and to put water jugs every few holes (there were none that I saw). Book a round at this place with confidence. P.S.- The signage at this course to stay safe on the hills while maneuvering with our cart had me laughing.
THE COURSE IS VERY BEAUTIFUL, THE GREENS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. HOWEVER THE COURSE IS RAN BY IDIOTS. SUNDAY AT 10 AM TEE TIME AND THEY LET A GROUP OF 6 THAT WERE DOING A SCRAMBLE AS WELL GO OUT INFRONT OF A 3 SOME THAT WAS FOLLOWED BY A 2SOME. NOT SURE IF ILL GO BACK WAS MY FIRST TIME BUT EVERYTIME WE CALLED TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT NOTHING WAS DONE TO ALLEVIATE A 5 + HOUR ROUND OF GOLF. FOXFORDHILL IS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM THERE ID RECOMMEND GOING THERE INSTEAD. ITS REALLY WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH INCOMPETENCE OR NOT AT CHALET
