Brixx Wood Fired Pizza + Craft Bar

Got seated quickly but a waiter never came up to my table. It was rather empty so it didn't make sense how we were forgotten. Once I walked up to the bar and requested a waiter, the waiter that helped us was nice. Started the meal off with Brixx Stixx that were definitely freshly made but a little dry and needed the marinara sauce and it was lacking flavor without the sauce. Ate the Roasted Chicken Penne which was yummy. I split this meal and was pleasantly surprised that when I mentioned the split to the waiter, the meal came to the table with presplit portions. I would eat here again.

I recently dined at Brixx Pizza at Parkside in Cary and had a mixed experience. From the outset, our visit was marred by a less-than-pleasant encounter with the hostess. It seemed we interrupted her phone time, as she greeted us with a noticeably bad attitude. Throughout our meal, she was really pushy in the way she asked for our plates while we were still eating, which made the experience uncomfortable. On the brighter side, the food was decent, meeting our expectations for a casual pizza place. However, what truly stood out was our waiter, who delivered exceptional customer service. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor almost made up for the initial negative impression. While the quality of the food and the waiter's excellent service were positives, the hostess's behavior unfortunately put a damper on our evening. Given this experience, I may wait a few weeks before returning, in the hope that either the hostess has moved on or management has addressed the issue. Brixx Pizza has potential, but they need to ensure that all staff contribute positively to the dining experience.
