Fun layout. The course conditions are a little rough right now but the staff was out in force working on getting it back in shape. Nice place to play with the grandkids.
It's not worth $40, it seems cheap, but it's more crap than cheap. The only thing worthwhile about this course is the design if it were well maintained and the caps in the pro shop. This is the worst golf course I've ever been to. The tees look like bunkers with overgrown grass. The fairways are uneven and have sand holes everywhere, and when it rains, they fill with lakes and mud. The bunkers are real sand traps, filled with rocks everywhere, and they look more like a dried-up river. And finally, they should change the name of the greens and call them sand pits. This is the first time I've seen bunkers on the green. With all these course conditions that can even cause injuries and will undoubtedly affect you mentally, the ranger expects a foursome to finish the 18 holes in 4 HOURS MAX, and he tells you that you are playing slowly when you simply has other slow foursomes in front, and when he feels like it he sends you out of the back 9 and they go crazy when you meet the players who did come out of the front 9. Been here 3 times and im done; never back to this place
I was in town and decided to get in a relaxing 18 holes. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience went downhill fast. Right off the bat, we ran into an extremely rude and condescending starter. The pro shop manager explicitly told us to grab any cart and head to the first tee. Despite following those exact instructions, we were confronted at the tee by the starter, who spoke down to both me and my playing partner and insisted we were “completely in the wrong.” Instead of communicating with his own staff, he chose to take it out on paying customers. Once we finally got out on the course, the conditions were shockingly bad. The greens were completely burnt—so bad that putting from the rough would have been preferable. And it wasn’t just one hole; the greens deteriorated more and more as the round went on. The bunkers were just as unacceptable. They were essentially hardened concrete, to the point where I was genuinely worried about damaging the rental clubs provided. Calling them sand traps is generous. While the price may seem appealing at $105 for 18 holes with balls, clubs, and a cart included, don’t be fooled. This course is in horrendous condition. I would have rather gone up the street to Boomers and played a round of mini golf—saved money and avoided being completely disappointed. This is a low-level municipal course masquerading as a “country club,” and it does not come close to justifying the price or the attitude. The only reason I’m not giving this course one star is due to the price being appealing otherwise I’d be drawn to give it half a star.
