Birdie Indoor Golf Center BBY

As a regular patron of the Birdie Indoor Golf Centre in Richmond, I had a disappointing first visit at the Burnaby location. We had booked a bay with the understanding that it was meant for both left and right handed golfers (the booking page did not state it was right hand only). Unfortunately, upon arrival, we realized it was designed poorly and could not accommodate left handed golfers. When we brought it to the staff's attention, they noted that it should be able to accommodate left handed golfers. We had to ask them to come take a look until they realized our left handed golfer could not use it. While there was an available bay that accommodated both left and right handed golfers, they noted that it was booked later that evening and was not available and they would see what they could do. After waiting 10 minutes, we went back to ask if we could use that bay until its next booking, which they eventually allowed. While the sim golf experience was fine, the customer service was disappointing. We would have liked to at least received a discount or voucher, or that they could have tried offering a solution without being prompted by us. EDIT: I have since been back to Birdie and will say that their customer service has improved significantly. I had some issues with my bay (unfortunately seemed to be a machine issue), and they were quick to offer me a drink and access to a VIP bay as there weren't able to fix mine quickly. Appreciated the improved service and had a pleasant experience this time, so have changed my rating!

Been here a couple of times and really enjoyed it!!! Some bays aren’t open yet and the booking system was a bit confusing, but the staff were super helpful, even sorted things out when I sent balls into another bay (yeah, definitely not Tiger Woods here). Looks like there’s more space upstairs still to come, so I’m looking forward to checking it out when it’s ready! Best to book ahead, and making the online system a bit clearer would make it perfect!

Great place to have a great time at the golf simulator. Pretty accurate and if you want to get your numbers down that would be a good place to go. There wasn't any food or drinks but they were okay with us ordering to their location which made it fine. I was informed they will get food and drinks at a later date so I'm looking forward to that.
