We had an awesome time taking our two children to Birdie Buddies. The facility is very nice, well appointed and very clean - which is so important for return visits. Lots of great courses to play and decent club selection if you don't have any. I had 3 suggestions: 1. Setting up a second, smaller tee beside the simulator, without a screen just netting, for practice swings in between turns would be a great use of space. 2. A vending machine would make some great cash in there (with credit or debit tap). We didn't think to bring drinks or snacks and wished we had some. 3. A few cheap kids clubs would be great to add to the bags!
I received no email with the code to open the door and when I called the # provided, no one was answering. There was a user ahead of me who finally let me in after banging on the door a minute or 2 after my booking time. By the time I began my booking 10 minutes of my hour had past. The simulator was not intuitive to use and the instructions were very limited. It was not clear that you had to place your ball on a specific place on the grass mat in order for the simulator to track your shot. Noticing this I attempted to call for help at 1 of the #'s provided which want straight to voice mail. The site claims: You are welcome to bring your own clubs, but we also provide equipment if needed. We want to make sure everyone can enjoy our indoor golf experience! The equipment needed was 2 old golf bags with an assortment, mostly right handed, of old "garage sale" clubs. Mostly irons and no left handed clubs. The site was very hot and stifling. There were no windows to open and no access to any kind of temperature control. Safety: ; The entire area is concrete. The safety nets only extend to approx 3 feet and not the entire height of the room. There were multiple instances of balls careening off of walls with potential to strike the golfer. What can I say, we weren't great golfers but safety should accommodate that. Edit post review: Company called me after receiving their solicited email for a review from me: My Review: I am writing to you today to let you know I had a poor experience at your venue. I received no email with a code though I did receive the receipt. Thank goodness someone was in there who allowed me in when I proved I had paid. I had to bang very loudly to get their attention. The instructions are horrible unless you've been before. For a person new to simulated golf I did not realize that you could only hit the ball from 3 positions on the platform. Perhaps simple to some but for those who've never been to one before not so obvious. $60 for 2 people is also ridiculous. 2 do not hit more balls than one or use more resources than one. Also, your site is unsafe. The netting should be fully to the top at both sides not just lying limply at half mast as yours are. Also, not having someone readily available to answer a call for help is a crappy business practice. I for one will not use your facility and I will be sure to let everyone else who lives in our nice new building how awful an experience it was and warn them to wear a hard hat if they decide to use it. Disgruntled and disgusted: End: Desmond called me to say he felt my review was very aggressive. When I questioned him why, he could not articulate a reason. He wanted to inform me that while the code email had been a problem for them in the past, I should have seen a "Pop Up" after confirming payment that I would receive an email with a code to open the door of the establishment and if I didn't I was supposed to email them. Well, I saw no Pop Up reminder and just received the receipt of payment so I thought that I would receive the code by email the day of booking. When I tried to explain this I was told that I must have not seen the "pop up". At this point I realized that they were not calling me to resolve a negative experience, the call was to tell me how I did things wrong. There was no offer of reconciliation or reimburse and at one point Desmond told me he did not hate me as a person to which I have no idea why he would say that. I ended conversation at this point and feel truly disrespected as a customer.
Only had one hiccup, which was the program wasn’t working properly however I called the phone number provided, he promptly walked me through trouble shooting and gave me extra time in lieu of! Great guy, nice place and very private! Loved it, will go again
