Avalon Country Club

From Pro shop, to Rangers and From dining host to cart ushers... everyone was fantastic. Special shout to Haley in the dining area. Wonderful course, with adequate pace of play. Tee boxes, Fairways, greens kept in very good condition this late in season. We will return for sure

The restaurant food is terrible / The poolside food used to be the highlight of my summer time experience. It’s terrible now. The chicken tenders used to be real chicken. Now they use like Tyson chicken tenders you would buy from the store. They make members put on wristbands for the pool which is just embarrassing as hell and the Overpriced entry price for guests is even more asinine and rising every year. We also Went for Easter buffet this year and not a single item on the menu was good. Went to dinner for a siblings birthday months before that Easter buffet and the waitress dumped a tray of drinks on my girlfriend’s head and didn’t even get comped with a free drink or anything. This place actually is so overrated it’s hilarious

I'm the event organizer for a college group that used the Ballroom space for our formal event this year. Just to get to the point, the event space was beautiful, but we were not treated well in the process. Positives: The food was incredible and came out on time. The space was amazing (see the attached picture), and was even a bit too big for our group of around 50 people. The outdoors are really well suited for pictures. Outside decorations are really not needed since the space is decorated beautifully. The dance floor and lighting is perfect for dancing. The manager on staff that evening was receptive to everything we needed and adjusted the lights and AC as we saw fit. Negatives: About a week before the event, I emailed my contact at Avalon and confirmed that we would have speakers working for the event. When we arrived to Buhl Park and started working on setting up our event, I tried to connect to the speaker system to test if it worked. When it didn't work, the manager there called his boss who informed him that the speaker system actually was not going to be functional that night for some sort of technical reason. They provided us with a speaker that was reasonably loud, but we ended up using our own small speaker that one of the attendees happened to be able to bring up. Needless to say, it was beyond frustrating to be promised a working speaker system and not have it actually working. When I reached out to my contact about this, I was met with no response. TL;DR: Avalon is a beautiful event space with so many good things about it. We were all so impressed with the actual event space. However, we were met with mixed customer service, ranging from great service from the manager, who did all he could to help us during the event, to my contact who promised working speakers, but we did not receive them.
