It’s been a week now since my haircut with Courtney Lech and I’m still so upset. I’d been going to her for years but I’ll never go back. The back is fine but she cut an entirely new layer that I never asked for. We always left the hair from my ear, to my forehead, one length. Always. This new layer doesn’t blend in, it looks choppy, uneven, and it’s way too short. She cut at least 4” off a section of my hair that I specifically said I wanted to keep all the length. It’s awful. My hair is thin to start with - I didn’t have that much hair for her to cut. It will take at least 6 months or more for me to grow it back to its original length. Also, I’m not sure what type of scissors, or texturizing tool, she used in my hair but it left all the ends frizzy. I tried calling the salon, as soon as I got home, the same day, but there was no answer. When I spoke with Courtney on Monday she apologized, saying she must have grabbed too much hair, when she was doing the cut, but refused to cover the cost of the serum she suggested to fix the frizzy ends. She finally agreed to give me a full refund but it wasn’t easy getting it from her. While I appreciate the apology, it still doesn’t give me back my hair. And it’s upsetting that this is how she would treat a long time customer. On top of the bad cut, she was double booked and someone else washed my hair. He sat me at a dirty sink, removing the bowls and brushes, stored in it, while I sat there. He splashed so much water on my face that he needed to give me a towel to dry off with afterwards. So disappointed. ◦
