Alamo Drafthouse Cinema New Mission

I want to give the Alamo Drafthouse 5 stars because I love seeing films in the movie theatre and the New Mission is such an iconic cinema with all of its original features in tact. If I were just rating the theatre itself it would get 5 stars without a doubt. Staff were super welcoming and helpful as well. The theatre prohibits cell phone use but the couple next to me were busy scrolling their phones partly because of the offer of food being served at your seat. So they were browsing the menu on their phones which, on the one hand, I understand (having said that there *are* paper menus at each seat along with small lights to illuminate them so that is an option) but what this leads to after they order is staff coming in to deliver food and drinks. They come back through again holding a sign saying ‘last orders’ etc. Maybe I’m old but if you want to eat a meal, do that at home before the movie or after the film. Staff do their best to not disrupt but ultimately it *is* disruptive having them crouching down in front of you while they go up and down your row (repeatedly). If you like eating while watching a movie in the theatre or aren’t bothered by people getting drinks and food delivered around you then this will likely be an overall 5 star experience for you. For me, I realised after my recent trip to the New Mission that it will be my last.

It was my first time watching a movie at this theater, and it was really fun. You could order some light bites and drinks at your seat. Write down your selections and press the call button, and a staff member will come over to take your order. Like other people had mentioned, the seats were not that comfortable. For me I thought they were fine. It was a fun experience.

i go here like 3 times a month this place is amazing! i recommend coming on tuesdays since they have a discount on tickets, the movies are good , they have new movies and old movies . the food is amazing and the popcorn is really good, they have alot of flavors nd the popcorn has free refills. i always get the pizza and it js SO GOOD!! the milkshake is also amazing. i also recommend getting the fried pickles , n ik it sounds gross but its really good especially if u like pickles!!
