1.50 Golf - Precision Fitting & Instruction

Was fitted at the store in Gulf Shores and bought a complete set. Was extremely happy with the experience. They had told me if I had any problems to let them know. After 3 months didn’t like the consistency of the driver and putter. I live closer to Covington, so they called Covington for me and Mike made some adjustments for me. Both stores were first class.

Very kind and helpful staff. I brought in a shaft I wanted to put on my 5 wood and it was done in less than 2 hours. They also helped me realize that I am using the wrong size grips. I couldn't recommend this place more.

I’m from out of town and happened to find this hidden gem. Awesome golf shop. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend to anyone with a passion for golf.

We always have a great experience here. The staff is wonderful! Mark always does a great job fitting my son. I feel like he goes above and beyond to find the right clubs for his game. We’re very happy!!

I rarely take the time to leave Google reviews, but I have been going to 1-50 Golf in Covington for years now, and I felt it was time to give this store and its staff the ringing endorsement they truly deserve. The entire staff is friendly, and they always immediately welcome me to the store and ask how they can be of help. The person I have developed a friendship with is the store's manager, Mark Drube. Mark has helped me with numerous purchases over the years, and he has earned my trust by providing honest, thoughtful feedback and advice. He understands the basic principle which (sadly) many businesses do not understand: if you do the right thing and give honest feedback - even if it might mean the business will make less money in the moment - it will mean developing the priceless asset of trust with customers, and thereby will earn longterm return business. Thus he understands that it is possible to serve the best interests of both the customer AND the business, that these goals are not mutually exclusive, but rather are mutually reinforcing. It also is clear that Mark and his stuff avidly love the game of golf, and that they enjoy helping their customers. They use modern technology wisely and effectively, and they exhibit comprehensive knowledge of their brands. Again, I know that the expectation that the staff of any business should have such comprehensive knowledge of their products may seem a painfully obvious point, but sadly I have encountered countless occasions at many businesses when employees often don't know their products. Mark and his staff know and love the game of golf, the world of golf products, and current fitting and club technologies. In sum, Mark and his staff are friendly and highly competent professionally. I will continue to go to Mark for golf equipment advice. Mark and his staff have earned my trust and loyalty.
