Tom is a business owner who genuinely cares. Customer experience is first on his list and he's crafting a gem of a business in Lancaster. I needed a putter for a work event and he kindly gave one and said just bring it back when you're finished. I lost track and walked back in half the year later and he was still all smiles. Great shop & people!
I did a full bag fitting at PTP Lancaster and it was a great experience. The fitter was attentive, knowledgeable, and excited to get me into the right clubs. It was a no pressure environment and the fitter easily explained why certain clubs worked better or not better with my swing. PTP had a great selection of the newest clubs and shafts to choose from and we tried many combinations in order to find the right fit. I ended up ordering wedges, irons, a 3-wood, and driver. They came in quickly and I’m already practicing with them for the spring season. Also included was a ball fitting and gapping report. I went in a week before their renovations were complete. The new set up and simulators look terrific. I highly recommend PTP Lancaster.
Much respect to the PTP crew. They did my iron fitting about 2 years ago when I first moved to the area. An excellent experience with Sawyer setting up some T100s with +.5” and 1° up loft. Followed up with a “used club fitting” yesterday because my TSR2 got dented and I figured it was likely broken. Not only did Tom, the owner, give a multi-club fitting but also gave me CAD swing configuration on their new trackman4 system. Once we squared away my club head was functioning, we dove into hosel settings and swing tips based on the data and managed to gain about 20 extra yards on my total drive. No pressure to buy a new club, no judgement on my miss hits. It felt like I was hanging out with friends and dialing in the best technique.
I visited the store today and was impressed with the overall quality and potential of the space. However, the ongoing construction made the experience somewhat challenging. I especially felt bad for the young man conducting a fitting—he practically had to raise his voice just to communicate over the loud and persistent construction noise. Credit is certainly due to the customer being fitted; it was remarkable that they were able to focus and swing comfortably amid all the disruption. I truly hope the construction work will ultimately result in additional retail space, as it currently feels like the store’s footprint has been significantly reduced. Overall, I look forward to returning once the construction is completed and the full shopping experience can be appreciated.
It's that time of year again to get ready for another golf season. While I switch out my wedges a couple times each year I haven't changed irons in 4 seasons. Dan did my fitting last time, a custom set of Mizuno 921 forged irons. I couldn't be happier with the results. My handicap went from 5+ to 0.8 at my best, and 7 Aces to top it off. This time around I had Master fitter Tom take care of me. We went through an array of Club heads and shafts, sifted through the data, and discussed my goals and what I was looking to accomplish. One of my favorite aspects of Pull the Pin is that these guys eat sleep and breathe golf. Whether it's Matt, Aaron, or Tommy they're always there to listen to you and help you reach your goals. After reviewing everything we decided on the TaylorMade p770. Custom head, shafts, and grips and the beauty is they only took a week to get here. If you're looking for new clubs this season, definitely get fit, and definitely go see the boys at Pull the Pin. (yes, they are still in plastic).
